Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 15, 2026
Bella Wedding Planner, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), an Idaho limited liability company, operates Bella Wedding Planner (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share your information when you use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
Account information: Name, email address, password, role (bride, vendor, family, or wedding party), and profile details you choose to provide.
Wedding and vendor data: Wedding details, timelines, vendor profiles, bids, invitations, photos, and messages you submit through the Service.
Payment information: When fees apply (e.g., family access), payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers; we receive only limited transaction metadata.
Connected accounts: If you sign in with Google or connect Google Calendar, we receive information from your Google account as described in Section 4 below.
Usage data: Log data, device identifiers, IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected via standard web technologies and cookies.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To facilitate communication between brides, vendors, and family members.
- To process payments and send transactional emails.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud or abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Information
We share information only as needed to operate the Service:
- Between users: Wedding details you choose to share are visible to vendors you invite and family members you grant access. Brides control these permissions.
- Service providers: Hosting, email delivery, analytics, and payment processors (e.g., Stripe) acting on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal: When required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Bella Wedding Planner, LLC or others.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Google Sign-In and Google Calendar
Bella offers two optional Google integrations. You are never required to use either one.
Google Sign-In. If you choose "Continue with Google," we request the openid, userinfo.email, and userinfo.profile scopes. We use the resulting name, email address, and profile picture solely to create and authenticate your Bella account and to display your name and avatar inside the app.
Google Calendar sync. If you are a vendor and choose to connect your calendar, we request the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events scope. We use it for two purposes only: (a) to create and update calendar events for weddings and moments you have been booked for, and (b) to read your existing event times so Bella can show your busy and available dates to couples.
What we store. Your Google account email address, an OAuth access token and refresh token, the identifiers of events Bella created, and derived busy/free time blocks. We do not copy or retain the full contents of your calendar beyond what these two features require.
How we protect it. Tokens are stored encrypted at rest in our backend and are accessible only to the calendar sync service that performs the actions above.
We never sell Google user data. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not use it to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models. We share Google user data with no third party except as strictly necessary to provide these features, for security purposes, or to comply with applicable law.
Bella Wedding Planner's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Revoking access and deleting data. You can disconnect at any time in Settings → Calendar, which deletes the stored tokens and stops all syncing. You may also revoke Bella's access from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. When you disconnect or delete your Bella account, we delete the stored Google tokens and associated availability data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
5. Affiliate Links and Registry Tracking
Wedding registries on Bella can include affiliate links to third-party retailers, including the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When you click a gift link, we record that the click happened — the item, the registry, the time, and coarse referral information such as page and device type — so couples can see interest in their registry and so we can reconcile affiliate reporting. We do not receive your payment details, and retailers do not tell us what you personally bought; we may receive aggregate or order-level commission reports that do not identify you to us.
Once you leave Bella for a retailer's site, that retailer's own privacy policy and cookies apply. Retailers may set cookies to attribute a purchase to Bella. You can block or clear those cookies in your browser; doing so does not change the price you pay. For details about these relationships, see our Affiliate Disclosure.
6. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand usage. You can control cookies in your browser settings.
7. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Choices and Rights
You may access, update, or delete your account information at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, such as the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. International Users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., you consent to processing of your information in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
